Individuals or organisations may self-nominate or nominate an organisation they have worked with in the twelve month period from 1 January – 31 December 2019.

  1. Please select the category you would like to enter and click 'Enter now'. You can also choose to select several categories by checking the boxes on the right.
  2. Register or login. When registering, you will receive an email, and will need to validate your account before you will be able to complete your entry/ies.
  3. Complete the online entry form and upload any supporting material. You will need to complete all the required fields before you can submit your entry.
  4. To complete your entry, agree to the terms and conditions then click the 'COMPLETE' button at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, you can save your entry and login and complete at a later date.
  5. Once registered as an entrant you will be able to return to your incomplete or completed entries and edit as necessary. If you forget your password please use the reset password link on the login page.
  6. Entries may be edited up until the point of submission; all submissions must be made by 24th January 2020. Please note only submitted entries will proceed to the judging stage.

Entering the awards remains free of charge for all categories, however, if shortlisted, you will be required to purchase a minimum of one ticket at full list price. Multiple shortlist entries only requires one ticket purchase.


 

Every company should have a team member who has shown incredible promise and quickly made themselves irreplaceable. This award recognises the importance of attracting new talent into our industry. The Best Newcomer award is open to individuals who have been in the events industry for less than three years (dated 31 December 2019) and have been in full-time employment for less than five years.

We all know how important a strong operations team is to the success of a show, but what achievements make one team stand out over another? This award highlights an operations team who have displayed superior efforts on one or more exhibitions through hard work, a commitment to customer service, organisational and management skills, teamwork and resourcefulness, delivering an outstanding and successful event. Work must have been carried out on shows that took place between 1 January – 31 December 2019.

Have you or your colleague delivered strong revenues across consumer or trade exhibitions in 2019? The Best Organiser Salesperson award honours one individual who outshone their peers in sales and over-achieved their targets with a combination of ingenuity, hard work, tenacity and market knowledge in the face of economic adversity, demand for more tangible ROI, and a more sophisticated exhibition market.

This award singles out the best event director working in the UK exhibition industry today. Judges are looking to reward one show director working across trade and/or consumer shows who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, creativity and professional growth during 2019. Key to success is the nominee's ability to demonstrate excellence, innovation and leadership.

This award recognises the ever-increasing and crucial role that technology plays in delivering events today. The award honours those individuals and businesses that have pushed the boundaries of innovation to develop and provide products and solutions that improve the overall effectiveness of an event, enhance the visitor experience or advance the behind-the-scenes organisation and planning. The winner could be from an organiser, venue or supplier involved in the delivery of the tech, or a combination of two or more, all parties will be recognised. Examples of the tech’s usage must be from within the 2019 calendar year.

Despite tough economic and market conditions, suppliers continue to help exhibitors show off their best assets at an exhibition through a combination of innovative products, services and support. The Best Supplier to Exhibitors award underscores one company that has helped exhibitors meet their objectives and achieve ROI from their show presence and demonstrated outstanding customer service between 1 January – 31 December 2019.

Without the support of contractors, exhibitions simply wouldn't function. This award shines a light on one exhibition supplier providing exhibition-related goods and services to the organiser community. The judges will look for examples where suppliers have gone beyond their day-to-day job to help one or more organisers run events successfully during 2019 (1 January – 31 December), shown innovation and demonstrated excellence.

With so many UK organisers now actively operating in venues outside their home territory, this award will highlight one large exhibition venue outside of the UK with 10,000sqm or more floor space well suited to major international exhibitions. Judges will be looking for ways in which the venue has worked with organisers to deliver outstanding results for internationally focused events and invested in improving their facilities. Work and shows must have been carried out between 1 January – 31 December 2019.

This award will honour one UK venue with up to 8,000sqm of exhibition space that hosted exhibitions in 2019. The winner of Best Venue under 8,000sqm will demonstrate a proactive relationship with organisers on successful exhibitions, be able to demonstrate investment into their venue offering, and chalked up significant financial and business growth. Shows must have taken place between 1 January – 31 December 2019.

This award will reward the hard efforts of one UK venue with a total floor space over 8,000sqm hosting exhibitions during 2019. The winner will demonstrate a proactive relationship with organisers on a plethora of successful exhibitions, invested in their venue offering in 2018 and chalked up significant financial and business growth. Shows must have taken place between 1 January – 31 December 2019.

This award recognises companies that have created outstanding places to work. The award looks at the immediate impact a range of employee programmes have had on company culture as well as environmental and social initiatives between 1 January – 31 December 2019. Judges are also looking for examples of how your ideas have created positive and enjoyable places to work.

Whether in print, digital, outdoor or experiential (or a combination of all of these), a well-conceived, integrated marketing campaign is crucial to the success and perceptions of your business. This award explores the best brand-boosting campaigns from 2019 for consumer shows. Judges will be looking for examples of work that display creativity and best marketing practice alongside proven measurable results against key campaign objectives.

NB: The Show must have taken place during 2019, the campaign can have started in 2018.

This category is open to any organiser that has worked successfully in partnership with a commercial business or professional association to produce an exhibition held in the UK during 2019.

Organisers will be assessed on their ability to achieve successful outcomes in terms of balancing commercial objectives with the partner’s needs, creating membership/commercial value and supporting the partner’s code of conduct or brand values, demonstrating visitor and exhibitor growth and diversification, observance of best practice and demonstrating a genuine partnership of real value to both parties to future-proof the collaboration and ensure longevity of the event. This category is open to any collaboration or partnership, no matter how small, that has a positive impact on outcomes for the event (association, show, event content, media and technological partnerships).

A great feature area on the show floor can leave a lasting impression - not just on visitors but on exhibitors too, and to inspire other organisers and suppliers. This unique award acknowledges the collaborative nature of a successful feature, utilising the creativity of both the organising team and suppliers providing the desired solution. Organisers or suppliers can nominate themselves for this award and both parties will be recognised. The show must have taken place between 1 January – 31 December 2019.

This award will recognise an organiser that has diversified its exhibition above and beyond its original brief into new territories, avenues or channels. The winner of the Best Brand Expansion award will have successfully replicated their brand either internationally or in the UK, launched sister or co-located events, or extended their exhibition brand into other media avenues and complementary commercial opportunities. Judges will be looking for excellence, innovation, commercial success and longevity.

As part of EN’s efforts to encourage more organisers to develop shows in the UK, this award will reward one organiser that has either launched or held the second edition of their consumer or trade exhibition during 2019.

The Best Consumer Show Award recognises one show that has met the consumer challenge by delivering a superb visitor experience, backed up by creative marketing initiatives, year-on-year success, a competitive edge, originality and commercial growth.
