Below you will see information on the categories and how to enter. Please follow the steps and ensure your entries are in by 28 January 2022 – 23:59

Important: Each category has a selection of criteria that the judges will score the entries on. Please use the citation box to respond to the criteria and the supporting documents to add more in depth information, figures and evidence of your success.

  1. Please select the category you would like to enter and click 'Enter now'. You can also choose to select several categories by checking the boxes on the right.
  2. Register or login. When registering, you will receive an email, and will need to validate your account before you will be able to complete your entry/ies.
  3. Complete the online entry form and upload any supporting material. You will need to complete all the required fields before you can submit your entry.
  4. To complete your entry, agree to the terms and conditions then click the 'COMPLETE' button at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, you can save your entry and login and complete later.
  5. Once registered as an entrant you will be able to return to your incomplete or completed entries and edit as necessary. If you forget your password, please use the reset password link on the login page.
  6. Entries may be edited up until the point of submission; all submissions must be made by 28th January 2022. Please note only submitted entries will proceed to the judging stage.

Entering the awards remains free of charge for all categories, however, if shortlisted, you will be required to purchase a minimum of one ticket at full list price. Multiple shortlist entries only require one ticket purchase.

The qualifying period for all activity is 1st February 2021 to 31st January 2022

 

The Best Newcomer award is open to individuals who have been in the exhibition industry for less than three years (dated 31 December 2021) and have been in full-time employment for less than five years. Judges will be scoring on how the newcomer has performed against pre-set objectives, how they have innovated within their role, creativity and attention to detail, future career prospects and on testimony from their line management.

For in-house operations departments or outsourced operations providers. Judges will be looking for evidence of creativity in delivery of events, achievements against pre-set objectives, quantity and diversity of shows delivered, obvious demonstration of teamwork, how the operations team have affected financial performance as well as attendee experience.

Open to sales people working for organisers. Judges will be looking for evidence of performance against pre-set objectives – both financial and non-financial, high levels of customer service, how they have creatively increased revenues outside the obvious and what their future career prospects are.

Judges are looking to reward one show director working across trade and/or consumer shows who has demonstrated outstanding achievement Entrants will be judged on creativity and professional growth the period, team leadership and development, show development and expansion, performance against financial and non-financial targets and personal commercial/client facing acumen.

This award recognises the ever-increasing and crucial role that technology plays in delivering events today. The winner could be from an organiser, venue or supplier involved in the delivery of the tech, or a combination of two or more, all parties will be recognised. Judges will be looking for how the technology has enhanced an event for the user experience, performance against pre-set objectives, how the tech has been developed and enhanced during the period, how the tech has benefitted the event commercially and what the future prospects for the tech can be shown to be.

Open to all venues not based in the UK. Judges will be looking for quantity and diversity of events held, ESG strategies and their results, how the venue has improved facilities, its commitment to working with organisers and D&I strategies.

Open to all suppliers to the exhibition industry. Judges criteria will be based on demonstrative examples of excellence in customer service, range of events supplied to, creativity in supply, how the supplier has worked with the end user to the benefit of their event and a clear ESG strategy.

Judges will score based on the scope and scale of the strategy, to date performance against pre-set objectives, clear benefits that the strategy can demonstrate to the business and on testimony from staff and customers as well as the long term goals of the strategy.

This award explores the best brand-boosting campaigns from 2021 for consumer shows. Judges criteria will include performance against pre-set objectives, campaign creativity, measurable results, diversity of the campaign and how new technology has helped drive results.

Open to organisers and contractors involved in the feature – all parties will be recognised. Judges criteria will be based on the performance of the feature against pre-set objectives, how the feature improved the visitor experience, footfall and engagement within the event, how it was designed, built and delivered within budget and the plans for the feature moving forwards.

This award will recognise an organiser that has diversified its exhibition above and beyond its original brief into new territories, avenues or channels, in the UK or overseas. Judges criteria will look at performance against pre-set objectives, how the expansion has benefitted the existing portfolio, creativity in execution, how the expansion has developed new audiences and what the future developments are.

Show Rising Star As part of EN’s efforts to encourage more organisers to develop shows in the UK, this award will reward one organiser that has either launched or held the second edition of their consumer or trade exhibition. Judges criteria will be performance against pre-set objectives, how the launch has opened up new markets to the business, the long-term plans for the show, how the show differentiates itself from other shows in the market as well as demonstrable creativity in approach.

The Best Consumer Show Award recognises one show that has met the consumer challenge. Judges criteria will include commercial growth, growth and developments in audience recruitment, detail on the visitor experience, evidence of marketing creativity and success as well as exhibitor satisfaction.
